Text notifications

Bright Side Streams sends two kinds of text, only to podcast hosts and the guests a host books into a session, and only if they tick the box themselves in the studio: a show reminder with the join link for a booked session, and a notice with the download link when a host's recorded video is ready. There is no public sign-up list, and no screen for entering someone else's number. Enter only your own number.

Where people opt in

1. Hosts, signed in to the studio at brightsidestreams.com/studio: Settings › General › Text notifications. A host gets a text with the download link when their recorded video is ready.
2. Guests a host has booked into a session: the host makes a personal invite for one named guest and sends them the link. The guest opens it in the studio and sees the host, the session title and time, the join link, and the same box. The code in the link is random and stops working 12 hours after the session starts. A guest gets a show reminder with the join link.

Joining or recording a session never needs the box. It is optional, unticked until you tick it, and saving without a tick saves no number.

What the box says

Each opt-in is recorded with the time, the IP address, the number, the account or session it was given for, and the exact words above. The first text after an opt-in is always the confirmation:

No marketing, ever. Texts come from +1 (410) 343-4451. Message frequency may vary. Standard Message and Data Rates may apply.

Stopping, help, and starting again

• Reply STOP to any text to stop them all (STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, REVOKE and OPT OUT also work). We will confirm once and then send nothing further.
• A host can also turn texts off in the same Settings section, and a guest on their invite; texts turned off there come back only by ticking the box again.
• Reply HELP for help, or email support@brightsidestreams.com.
• Reply START to resume texts after a STOP. This works only for a number that opted in on one of the two screens above and later replied STOP. It never signs up a new number. If you replied STOP and then tick the box again, text START as well: a texted STOP blocks our number until you text START.
